General Sewing Classes  

Class sizes are small, no more than four students and are suitable for all levels; the beginner, to those wanting to learn more advance techniques and refine their construction skills and knowledge.

  • Beginners learn basic machine skills and garment construction.
  • Learn to use and understand a commercial pattern (Butterick, Simplicity etc.).
  • Working with commercial patterns learn to measure, fit and adjust.
  • Learn sewing methods based on industry shortcuts.
  • Work at your own pace on a project of your choice.
  • Beginners can work through a structured program, usually starting on a bag, pajama pants, cushion cover or a skirt.

Commence a class any time there is a vacancy.

Weekday Morning and Afternoon Classes 

Morning classes run for 2½ hours are attended weekly during the NSW public school term.

Classes are booked and paid for in a five week cycle. There are two, five week cycles per term.

Preference is given to students booking and paying for a 10 week term.

  

Tuesday Term 1, 2017

10 weeks ~ commencing 31st January

Morning: 9.30 am to 12.00 pm   

Afternoon: 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm

Fees: $450.00 for 10  week term

 

 Wednesday Term 1, 2017  

10 weeks ~ commencing 1st February

Time: 10.30 am to 1.00 pm                                                                                                                        

Fees: $450.00 for 10 week term

  

Thursday Term 1, 2017 

10 weeks ~ commencing 2nd February

Morning: 9.30 am to 12.00 pm

Afternoon: 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm 

Fees: $450.00 for 10 week term

Time: 7.00 pm to 9.30 pm

Fees: $550.00 for 10 week term 

 

High School Sewing Classes

Class sizes are small, no more than four students and offer instruction in sewing skills and garment construction. Beginners start with basic sewing techniques and achievable projects such as a bag, pajama pants and a skirt. Students beyond the beginner level build on their sewing skills while working on a project of their choice.   

Classes are booked and paid for in a 10 week term.

Wednesday Afternoon Term 1, 2017

10 weeks ~ commencing 8th February

Time: 4.15 pm to 6.15 pm
